purchase here“Vivian Maier was an amateur photographer, extremely private person, and a nanny in Chicago throughout the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. This book is another selection from the Maloof archives responsible for finding Maier’s lost treasure of a storage locker at a thirft auction house in Chicago’s Northwest Side. He discovered her archive of 1000s of images, and they’re some of the most beautiful photos I’ve ever seen. As a photographer, her work jumps out at me. I bought her first book, Street Photographer, and loved it. These are all self portraits in windows, mirrors, etc with a really creative perspective. It’s amazing how strong the content is even though the focus is on the one subject. Beautifully framed and neat, Maier is an incredible photographer.”
