Total  time spent reading over the weekend: 7 hours.

I’m looking forward to participating in the Readathon  in October this year, and every time it is held from now on. I’m proud that I’ve also got my number of books read in the Goodreads 2015 Reading challenge up to 44 now for the year so far.

Dewey’s Readathon April 26 2015 Hours 5 and 6

I have been so engrossed in my book that I haven’t been updating on the hour like I have been in my other posts, so here’s a general update for the past two hours . Saving Gracie is a book that I’m really enjoying so far. It’s turning out to be an emotional rollercoaster with a well-written plot and defined characters. I’m hoping to get through as much as I can of it before the challenge ends (I’ve already read 35% of the book according to my kindle iPad app. )

Dewey’s Readathon April 26 2015 Hour 4 11:00 AM

Reading chapter 6 of Saving  Gracie. This book has a very exciting first chapter that really made me want to read on , and I’m still absorbed in the book. There’s a couple of hours left yet of Dewey’s Readathon , and I’m glad I woke up early to take advantage of the hours and read. I hope everyone else is doing great! I added to my Goodreads profile and added some recommended books to my “to read” list. I’m now 7 books ahead of schedule for reading 120 books in my 2015 Goodreads Reading Challenge!

Dewey’s Readathon April 26 2015 Hour 3

10 AM

I am now four chapters into Saving Gracie, and proud of my Readathon  progress so far. It is nice to have a relaxing Sunday after most of this month being taken up with writing a first draft of my novel for CampNaNoWriMo. It is not often these days that I don’t have a busy day. After some herbal tea and my usual breakfast, I’m ready to read until the Readathon  finishes, although it’s already going too fast for my liking.

Dewey’s 24 hour Readathon April 25 2015 hour 4

I have finished I Heart London now. It was great to see Angela on home turf, and I enjoyed the book a lot. I have now added a “favourite authors-Lindsey Kelk” shelf to my Goodreads account because over the years I’ve read many of her books. Im reading another one of hers now, Jenny Lopez Has a Bad Week. I really like her writing style. This will be the last I read today- I prefer to get a good night’s sleep and start again tomorrow. I love my reading, but like sleep too, and need it.

Dewey’s 24 hour Readathon April 25 2015 hour 3

After a few hours watching TV and  eating, I’m back reading, and hope to finish Shopaholic on Homeymoon by Sophie Kinsella.

20:55 I’ve finished the ebook and I enjoyed it as it gave a good insight into parts of Becky and  Luke’s homeymoom that weren’t covered in Shopaholic Ties The Knot (Shopaholic book 2).There’s an excerpt from Shopaholic To The Stars, which is a book I read a few months ago.

Dewey’s 24 hour Readathon April 25 2015 hour 2

I read much more of I Heart London  during this hour, and managed to finish that as well. Now, I’m searching my  iPad Kindle app for something else to read. Meanwhile, I’ve finished listening to The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, which I liked more than I thought I would. I’ll write reviews of everything I’ve read  by the end of the weekend,  and post them all on  here, Goodreads and Amazon.

I’m now reading Shopaholic on Honeymoon by Sophie Kinsella. This is a short story too. I like the way she writes and own copies of all her novels which I’ve read many times.

Dewey’s 24 hour Readathon April 2015 hour 1

14:00  I’ve officially begun reading, and I am already halfway through I heart London by Lindsey Kelk which I started yesterday , and am loving reading about Angela’s adventures in London.

14:45  I finished listening to the audiobook version of Homeland: Phantom Pain by Glenn Gers  and read by Damian Lewis. This is short, but a really enjoyable read. I ate an apple as a snack.

14:47 I am now listening to the Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving, which is another short e-book at just over an hour long.
